Fido’s of Fitzrovia: General Service Agreement Terms and Conditions
Registration and Acceptance
Registration: The owner must complete Fido’s registration form prior to booking any service.
Vaccinations: The owner must show evidence of up-to-date core vaccinations before being accepted for services at Fido’s.
Pet Control: Dogs must be on a lead, and cats must be in a secure carrier when entering and exiting Fido’s.
Toileting: The owner must ensure their pet has been toileted before arriving at the facility to minimise accidents and maintain a clean environment.
Pet Health, History, and Safety Requirements
The owner understands and acknowledges that Fido’s has agreed to render services based upon the representation that their pet meets the following health and behaviour conditions:
Vaccinations:
Dog: Is in all respects healthy and remains up to date on all required UK customary vaccinations, including, but not limited to, distemper, leptospirosis, parvovirus, hepatitis, and bordetella.
Cat: Is in all respects healthy and remains up-to-date on all required UK customary vaccinations, including, but not limited to, FPV, FHV-1, and FCV.
Parasite Prevention: It is the owner’s responsibility to keep their pet updated on all vaccinations and flea/tick/(tape)worm treatments. The owner confirms their pet is currently protected by, and will remain protected by, a flea/tick/(tape)worm preventative throughout each and every day their pet attends Fido’s.
Age: Pet is over 3 months of age.
Aggression: The pet has not at any time in the past harmed or shown aggressive or threatening behaviour towards any other person or any other animal.
Confinement: There is no history of behavioural issues of any kind as a result of being confined in a small area.
General Health: Pet does not suffer from any disability, illness, or other condition which could have any adverse effect on the health of, or could jeopardise the safety of, another animal or person.
Recent Procedures:
The pet has not received vaccinations or been microchipped within 48 hours of their appointment at Fido’s.
The pet has not received general surgery such as spaying/neutering within 14 days of their appointment (unless the pet has a letter of release from a veterinarian).
The pet has not received orthopaedic or spinal surgery within one year of their appointment (unless the pet has a letter of release from a veterinarian).
Muzzling/Isolation: A pet may be muzzled and/or isolated and kept apart from other pets should Fido’s staff determine that the pet may endanger other pets or people by virtue of its conduct or behaviour.
Right to Refuse/Terminate: Fido’s has the right to refuse admittance or terminate the contract of any pet (or owner) who displays aggressive, destructive, or unreasonable behaviour.
Payment and Pricing
Service Payment: Owner agrees to pay Fido’s for all services rendered. All grooming services and wellness treatments require full payment upon collection/completion.
Pricing: Our prices are subject to change, but we will notify customers in advance of any price adjustments.
Collection and Late Fees
Collection Time: The owner must collect their pet at the agreed time.
Late Collection: The owner agrees for their pet to be safely held if they are late to collect and that late collection fees will be charged accordingly.
Extreme Late Collection/Abandonment: Any pet not collected by closing time will be charged an emergency holding fee of £200. Any pet left for more than 5 days beyond the agreed collection date may be given to a shelter or rescue organisation for adoption; the owner will be responsible for the £200 per day emergency holding charge.
Liability and Indemnity
Owner Responsibility: The owner agrees to be solely responsible for any and all acts of behaviour of their pet while in the care of Fido’s, including payment of costs for injury to staff or other pets or damage to facilities caused by their pet.
Indemnity: Owner further indemnifies Fido’s against any claims made against Fido’s or its employees/agents or losses/damages of any kind suffered by Fido’s as a result of:
The owner’s failure to inform Fido’s of any pre-existing condition their pet may have (such as illness or aggression problems).
Losses or damages otherwise caused by their pet.
Emergency Veterinary Care
Emergency Contact: In an emergency, Fido’s will attempt to contact the owner, owner’s emergency contact, and/or the pet’s vet.
Owner Authorisation: Should an emergency not provide time for contact prior to care administration, the Owner authorises Fido’s to obtain medical attention for their pet from any qualified vet and to transport their pet to and from that vet if Fido’s deems such medical care important for the pet’s health.
Financial Responsibility: The owner grants Fido’s or its employees/agents full power of decision-making involving the medical treatment of their pet and agrees to pay for all associated costs.
Marketing and Privacy
Photography Consent: Owner consents to the use of all photographs and videos of their pet taken while on the premises of Fido’s in any marketing or promotional material about Fido’s, including publications, advertisements, websites, and social media platforms, unless Fido’s receives a written request to the contrary.
Personal Data: Personal information collected by Fido’s is used solely for service provision and will not be disclosed to third parties without your explicit consent.
Agreement
Acceptance: The owner confirms that they have read this agreement and understand and accept the terms and conditions stated herein.
Governing Documents: This agreement, in conjunction with the applicable dog grooming, cat grooming, and wellness terms & conditions, shall be the only agreement between owner and Fido’s and shall be effective and binding upon the parties.
Updates: The owner agrees to keep Fido’s updated of any changes to their pet’s information.
Term Changes: Fido’s reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time; customers will be notified of any significant changes through our website and/or via email.
Ongoing Validity: This agreement is ongoing and valid for all future use by the pet of Fido’s services.
Final Confirmation: By signing this agreement, in conjunction with the attached specific service Terms & Conditions, and by leaving your pet with Fido’s, the owner agrees to all the terms outlined herein and certifies to the accuracy of all information provided.
