Every dog is different. Our grooming is tailored to your dog’s coat, comfort, temperament, and style, with welfare always coming first. We never rush a groom at the expense of your dog’s wellbeing.

Our grooming prices are based on dogs being maintained on a consistent 6-week grooming regime, ensuring optimal coat condition, comfort and welfare.

Full Groom – recommended every 4-6 weeks

Includes: brush, wash with shampoo & conditioner, blow-dry, cut, styling, nails, pads, ears, hygiene tidy

Freshen-up/Maintenance Groom

We recommend grooming every 6 weeks to keep your dog’s coat, skin and overall wellbeing in optimal condition. A regular 6-week schedule helps prevent matting, reduces shedding, and allows nails, ears and hygiene areas to be kept comfortable and clean. Consistent grooming also means each visit is calmer and more efficient for your dog, avoiding the need for longer sessions or coat length compromises. It’s the best way to keep your dog looking great and feeling their best all year-round.

How our pricing works

Final pricing is based on:
- Size / weight
- Coat type and condition
- Time required
- Your dog’s comfort, behaviour and handling needs

Size category, estimated groom duration and starting price are confirmed on arrival.

Coat condition & additional time

Some coats — particularly dense, double, doodle or matted coats — take significantly longer than average.

Standard grooming time is included per size
Where additional time is required due to:
- Coat condition (e.g. matting)
- Behaviour or handling needs
Additional time is charged at £20 per 20 minutes

Any changes to time or cost will be discussed with you wherever possible during the groom.

Matting policy (welfare first)

We will never compromise your dog’s welfare to preserve coat length.

Light de-matting (under 10 minutes): included at groomer discretion
Moderate de-matting: £20 per 20 minutes (in addition to base grooming price)
Severe matting:
- Welfare-led short clip or shave
- Multiple sessions may be recommended
- In rare cases, the groom may be declined if distress is likely

Health & behaviour disclosure

Please tell us at the time of booking if your dog has:

Recent surgery, pain, skin issues, hot spots or ear infections
Anxiety, reactivity, bite history or handling sensitivities

This helps us allocate the right time, groomer and approach for your dog.

Appointment times

Appointments are deliberately allocated to allow calm, unhurried grooming
Estimated duration is discussed at consultation
Final price is based on coat condition and time required to complete the groom safely and comfortably

Late drop-off

If you are running late for drop-off, please let us know as soon as possible.

Arrivals more than 15 minutes late without prior notice may result in the groom being declined, as this affects welfare-led scheduling.

Late collection

If you arrive more than 15 minutes after the agreed collection time, a late collection fee of £20 per hour or part thereof will apply.

Cancellations & no-shows

Changes or cancellations must be made at least 48 business hours in advance
Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged at the (full) grooming base price for your dog’s weight

Hand Stripping - £70 per hour or part thereof

Recommended every 6-8 weeks

Includes: full hand-stripping, pads, nails, hygiene and tidy-up.

S: Border Terrier/Norfolk/Lakeland (approx. 1.5-2 hours)
M: Schnauzer/Welsh Terrier/Wire Dachshund (approx. 2-3 hours)
L: Airedale/Wire Vizsla/Giant Schnauzer (approx. 3-4 hours)
XL: Large sporting terriers/double-coated crosses (approx. 4 hours)

Full bathing & blow-dry (approx. 60 mins) is scheduled separately to protect coat quality and charged as follows:

Additional Services

Pawdicure (Nail trim & paw tidy): £20 (stand-alone service)
De-shedding mud treatment with high velocity nozzles: £20 (add-on to full groom)

We use pressure-controlled hydro-nozzles to release dead undercoat in the bath; the water enters the undercoat, dislodges loose follicles, and carries dead hair out with it. So by the time the dog even leaves the bath, 50-70% of the shedding hair is already gone, the skin is cleaner, and the coat is lighter and more breathable. Hair is being removed safely from the follicle, not just brushed off afterwards.

Ultrasonic teeth cleaning: £60 for initial consultation, incl. own brush head (up to 45 mins)

Thera-Clean® Microbubble Therapy: £55

1 hour treatment, including a blow-dry. Can be stand-alone treatment or added to a groom

Thera-Clean® is exclusively available at Fido’s. It uses millions of ultra-fine microbubbles to deeply cleanse the skin and coat without harsh chemicals or scrubbing. The microbubbles penetrate pores and hair follicles, lifting away bacteria, allergens, grease and debris — making it ideal for both routine hygiene and ongoing skin support.

Regular Thera-Clean® sessions are particularly beneficial for:

Dogs with sensitive or problem-prone skin
Itchy, flaky or odour-prone coats

Bath & Light Groom: Bath, preparation and a light tidy or trim — adjusted to your puppy’s readiness and comfort level.
